Changes to our appointment system
You can now be seen or talk to a wide range of professionals including a physiotherapist, a mental health support worker, a social prescriber or our Practice Pharmacist without speaking to a GP first.
Please ask the receptionist for details.
Our appointment system aims to allow patients to be seen in a timely manner. Please help us by booking ahead whenever you can. Appointments for "today" are intended for those who are acutely ill and must be seen "today".
A Doctor will assess all requests to be seen "on the day". The receptionist will ask you for a contact phone number and, if you are willing to say, a brief description of your problem. The Doctor will then phone you back and depending on assessment, may offer:
i) Help over the phone
ii) An appointment today with a suitable clinician for your issue
iii) An appointment on another day
We can now remind you about your appointment by text. If you have a mobile phone and would like a text reminder please advise us of your mobile number.
