Availability Standards
In normal circumstances we endeavour to meet the following standards
for routine appointments:
- Patients should be able to see a named doctor within 7 working
days. (FT GPs only)
- Patients can normally be assessed by a health professional within 2 working
days.
How to See Your Doctor
You can contact the surgery between 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. every working day. Appointments can be arranged personally or by telephone. Urgent appointments can be arranged on the same day. We operate an appointments system with appointments available in advance throughout the day. The telephones can be very busy first thing in the morning so, for non urgent requests, please telephone after 11.00 a.m.
Telephone appointments are also available throughout the day.
Continuity of Patient Care
We encourage patients to attend the same doctor throughout the duration
of a particular episode of care.
Telephone Advice
Telephone appointments are available throughout the day.
Practice Area
Patients will be accepted onto the Doctors’ list from Glen
Isla, Prosen, Uig, Clova, Moy, Quiech, Ogil and Ogilvy and from
Airlie, Ruthven, Eassie, Glamis, Padanaram, Tannadice and Fern and
all areas within these limits.
A map outlining the area is available for inspection in the Health
Centre.
District Nurses based at the Health Centre cover much of this area.
Home Visits
Home visits are for patients who are too ill to be seen at the surgery.
Please do not ask the doctor to call unless the patient is genuinely
too ill to attend the surgery.
All requests for home visits should be before 9.15am so that we
can plan our day. Reception staff will ask the nature of the problem
in order to help the doctor-on-call to arrange his/her schedule
and assess the degree of urgency.
